NEWS BRIEFS NAHB 20 Clubs gives positive grades for propane In a recent survey 56 percent of 20 Club members say that more than half the homes they build or remodel are off the natural gas main 66 percent say they frequently or always recommend propane appliances when building off the natural gas main and 42 percent say they use propane as the energy source for home heating systems when natural gas is not available PERC is a sponsor of NAHB 20 Clubs Sherwood Valve announces price increase of 4 to 7 percent Sherwood Valve LLC announced price increases of 4 to 7 percent effective Sept 15 for all Sherwood brands including Superior Refrigeration Products The Washington Pa based company cited continued price increases for materials over a 28 month period as the reason for the price increase on its products All orders received for delivery on or after Sept 15 will be subject to the increases Orders placed prior to this date and scheduled for immediate shipment will be accepted based on product availability and shipped at the price at time of shipment New NGL pipeline designed to link producers to Gulf Coast Enterprise Products Partners L P Enbridge Energy Partners L P and Anadarko Petroleum Corp announced an agreement to design and construct a new natural gas liquids NGL pipeline that will originate from Skellytown Texas in Carson County and extend about 580 miles to NGL fractionation and storage facilities in Mont Belvieu Texas The new Texas Express Pipeline TEP will help producers in west and central Texas the Rocky Mountains southern Oklahoma and the mid continent maximize the value of their natural gas production by providing additional takeaway capacity and enhanced access to the Gulf Coast NGL market Initial capacity on TEP will be about 280000 barrels per day which can be readily expanded to about 400000 barrels per day In addition the joint venture will include two new NGL gathering systems The first will connect TEP to natural gas processing plants in the Anadarko Granite Wash production area located in the Texas Panhandle and western Oklahoma The second NGL gathering system will connect the new pipeline to central Texas Barnett Shale processing plants Volumes from the Rockies Permian Basin and mid continent regions will be delivered to the TEP system utilizing Enterprises existing Mid America Continued from page 13 14 LPGas October 2011 www LPGasmagazine com
